I have just finished spangling my hand painted Santa Claus bobbins. I will be listing then on ebay starting this evening. So what do you think of them I have only four Midlands and three Honiton Santa Claus bobbins for now. These too me forever to paint...but finally done. Since they are hand painted no two look alike.

This is what I made today. A necklace for my very pretty Girlie Girl Kiara Anna Anna. Kiara's Mom brought over a cheap plastic beads craft kit to make little girl jewelry. I made a necklace out of the beads spelling out her full name. It is tatted using the "Beady Bracelet" and "Wrap Bracelet" techniques that Erin Holloway and I taught back in early September. It was hard to get a good picture so I am sharing two pictures I took. Kiara Anna...Granny loves you and this necklace I made for you my little Girlie Girl.

I was so inspired with all the beautiful tatting I saw a Palmetto's Tat Days that I tatted this doily up after I got home. The pattern came from an old "Star" pattern booklet and the pattern was just called...wait for it...wait for it..."Tatted Doily. I have renamed my finished doily "Tatted Colorway". I tried to put a lot of color in the doily. I like it.

I just finished this necklace you see me wearing in this picture. I used the single shuttle ring bracelet
that Erin designed and I helped her teach a couple years ago. I added more to the design to make the necklace and to use up the beads I had left over from making the bracelet.

I just finished this little Mermaid. I say James Cameron look out there is another person out
there that can design creatures like this Mermaid which I am going to name Ariel. Kinda catchy for a name huh?? I had loads of fun making her. I got the pattern from Ring Of Tatter's 2005 book. Loved playing with the color for her. The only thing I did different is I added gold beads to the top of her head so she would look like she was wearing a crown. Since I had so much fun with making her I have to make another ne for myself since this little mermaid will go to a new tatter's home soon. She was designed by Jane Eborall of he UK. Love you Janey O Janie.

No I am not starting a project. This is what happens when I can't find what I did wrong. This is a result of retrolacing. I could not find where I made my mistake so I had to undo it all. So since I don't want to waste the thread they are hanging on a hapkin holder that one of my children made in school. The masking tape with the guilty child's name has come off so I don't know which chicklet made it...but it works wonderful to hand my bobbins on and make them behave before they get to work again on another piece of lace.
Tomorrow there is no school because it is Martin Luthur King's Day...so all of the chicklets will be with me. I think I might either work on either my Bucks Point Edging or my Shamrock Torchon edging. ...I am thinking the torchon one right now.

I just finished painting these large Square Santa Claus bobbins. These are the last I am painting for Christmas which has come and gone. In this picture the bobbins are in the same order but turned four times so you can see each side. All the Santa Clauses (since I hand painted them)  each have their very own personalities. They are all for sale. If anyone one is interested in buying any please send me a message.  When the three are gone they are gone.

I have been painting Santa Claus bobbins. There are three Santa Clauses going around the bobbin. There is also a saying in spiral going around that says. "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" . What would Santa be without the presents for every good boy and girl so there are presents with a few jolly Ho Hos.  These bobbins look very Christmasy which I use my Christmas themed bobbins year around just like I listen to Celtic Christmas music year around. :) The last bobbin with the varnish and bird in cage spangle is at present on ebay. I just listed it. There are only a few others of this bobbin. If you are interested in buying one please let me know. When they are gone they will be gone. These were lots of fun to paint and very vibrate. All the other bobbins in the picture also have their varnish and bird cage spangle ready to go to another home amd make some pretty lace.  Here is the URL for the ebay listing.
