I was so inspired with all the beautiful tatting I saw a Palmetto's Tat Days that I tatted this doily up after I got home. The pattern came from an old "Star" pattern booklet and the pattern was just called...wait for it...wait for it..."Tatted Doily. I have renamed my finished doily "Tatted Colorway". I tried to put a lot of color in the doily. I like it.

Very pretty. It reminds me of a gold colored crochet doily from my Grandmother with colorful pansies all around. Karen in OR

Pretty! Do you know which Star book it came from?

HiYa JB. The pattern came from Star doily booklet No.91. The cover title is Sparkling white doilies. The cover has a large splash of red flowers and shows different types of doilies. My booklet is falling apart but the instructions are all in the booklet and that is all that matters. When I saw this doily in this booklet years ago I knew I had to make it but not white but in colors.

Thanks for the info. I will look for it. I agree--it definitely needs color. You do a great job pairing colors with the right patterns.
