I follow a woman that is on YouTube. Some maybe know who she is. Her name is Nicola Parkman from the Cornwall, UK. She has a business called Hands Across Time Samplers. I find her very friendly sounding as I love when she talks about samplers that are found from times in the past and are reproduced and brought back to life. Well, she came here in the fall a couple months ago to teach a workshop. I would have loved to take the work shop and meet her in person. The beauty of this was I didn’t have to get on a plane. Nicola was going to be only 30 miles from my house … wonderful huh?? I had written to Nicola and told her how I follow her and the fact I live pretty close to where she was going to be when she came states side. I told her that I wished I could take her workshop and I lived close by. She said to come on Friday morning and we could have a coffee together. Since she was so nice and willing to do this I decided I would make her a cloth card and since Winter was on the horizon I made her a snowman. Here is the picture of that snowman which was on the front of the card. The back said Happy Winter with some confetti snowflakes with beads added on. I gave it to her and we had coffee together and a chat. It was a very nice and special time for me.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1yla8ad1RfoNNNLkHe5v4XEfXVt2N3NUXAPzqHn0KED6wT4eH5jUPZAuz2ZkHRT8rhfyXEJ10iJym1AIs6utleEx_1y1CJVZglzTZLK49MIchRdLZMQTN647khukh8_BkI-GpPczass-wcihfHgYioEJouLF98zTgzXos6k3XkOO7BYVnwjxFJA/s4000/4139B039-1B3F-4379-BE55-4D52A86598E2.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="2252" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1yla8ad1RfoNNNLkHe5v4XEfXVt2N3NUXAPzqHn0KED6wT4eH5jUPZAuz2ZkHRT8rhfyXEJ10iJym1AIs6utleEx_1y1CJVZglzTZLK49MIchRdLZMQTN647khukh8_BkI-GpPczass-wcihfHgYioEJouLF98zTgzXos6k3XkOO7BYVnwjxFJA/s320/4139B039-1B3F-4379-BE55-4D52A86598E2.jpeg" width="180" /></a></div> I then made another snowman using the same pattern for my lace exchange partner in Spain. Here is that snowman. Marcella made for me a beautiful red star in Bobbi lace. I will show that in my next post. This will be all for tonight for the new year is now less than an hour away. I will write soon again. It is so pretty. The tree makes me think of my parents. Nobody had a Mimosa Tree around me. The only place I saw it here in New York was my parents. I remember my Dad with his binoculars sitting in his chair in the living room watching the Hummingbirds.</p><p> years ago while visiting my girlfriend Erin in Knoxville we pulled over the side of the highway so I could pick some seed pods. I brought the pods home and the next year I started the seeds in a pit and planted them. The MimosaTree that was at my parents house is no more. When my daughter had a room added to her house the Mimosa Tree was taken down.</p><p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhI6JZud9vHGWczr52TJf6HC2bafanGXMMA3HM7pMdKM6Is9r9HC6yQdfq79A7HpFwtfYLpZ_cVsf-6NAPW_Tn2T1LY98FL5LxWGtCAp7mYByDp-q45kkdBIFp_qlF4k0V-YVh_QUZARbNIoV8ixGoLhqNQ2KJ2Ds5z1Eo87E7tHql3Vkx3OmChPQ/s3264/6955C9E0-9FF6-455F-B49D-45B2E3C65D4F.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; It is a pattern design called Away We Ride the designer is Blackbird Designs. I have decided to use my own color way. When using the colors called for, the colors are not matching the picture at all. So I am doing my own thing.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiV-Oz81e2DpTa10tD_jM_JgimV1DPDqOkR39yet7FJXFpNHTHlPU1EXRi2ZqYqEHvxArNCU-rZ2q7bARGOf_OvC68r95O1tJC7fzsBrzndXv6URXMQ83y9oED14gOW2PL28VffmdueVZPRbGKqOSh7t9yrXTh_pypC5XJcEVPq1rfyn32AIrY/s3264/1BFFB1C0-9E66-495C-A56D-F51021B42959.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3264" data-original-width="2448" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiV-Oz81e2DpTa10tD_jM_JgimV1DPDqOkR39yet7FJXFpNHTHlPU1EXRi2ZqYqEHvxArNCU-rZ2q7bARGOf_OvC68r95O1tJC7fzsBrzndXv6URXMQ83y9oED14gOW2PL28VffmdueVZPRbGKqOSh7t9yrXTh_pypC5XJcEVPq1rfyn32AIrY/s320/1BFFB1C0-9E66-495C-A56D-F51021B42959.jpeg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><p>I love Satsuma Street Halloween and Christmas ornaments. I love the wording of “ Witches Nine”. The sampler was a lot of fun. The pumpkins were from old stitching magazine ( which by the way I copied and painted on a lace bobbin which I will share some other time), the witch and the house came from I think last years Halloween issue, the owl is another Pararie Schooler, the witch was designed by late Lisa Roswell “Primitive Needle”, the bumble bee is a needle book designed by Just Nan and last is Satsuma Street “Pumpkin King” which I love. I love Satsuma kits because you get everything you need to make her designs. I see right now she has sold out of her Halloween designs. She is waiting for new supplies to come in to make the kits up again. Be on the look out for her Nut Cracker series to come in to Etsy again. That is all for now next post will have pictures of my Just Nan “Scream House”.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; I made Ruth into a stand up figure which she was a stand up figure for women. The wording in front of Ruth says “ Ruth Sent Me”. I love the way she turned out. I love her! I think she turned out beautiful. There are other designs of Rhonda’s that I have already bought for a future stitch. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVD_jyBCz3bjaLRRkZUxoZL_HcORnVhh3J6Ak0g_cTb8b4LEuNFuE-v-qnvo_rhvUsSRXAkVSLlzgQUsgBcRPexQhoSlzqbbN-6SAPFG6sf20M3lMrFjWZHjij3tXYD60NjJNgFF5QFPvJ7OFGL3gWHUrtIA9kRaU5IekSp4cwCm4JQsSaXNI/s4000/20221006_153923.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVD_jyBCz3bjaLRRkZUxoZL_HcORnVhh3J6Ak0g_cTb8b4LEuNFuE-v-qnvo_rhvUsSRXAkVSLlzgQUsgBcRPexQhoSlzqbbN-6SAPFG6sf20M3lMrFjWZHjij3tXYD60NjJNgFF5QFPvJ7OFGL3gWHUrtIA9kRaU5IekSp4cwCm4JQsSaXNI/s320/20221006_153923.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRJl-KEjPIERW0c1B8RsAabigvGg25bgiX5CRpXgNGJVzRZQrACwxJ7isrxSlB603cQVH-p9A5f9J8qYHG9-HVaXcTDpcXQ_IGfo-mjU1AbXLCs2iJmuvsowen2SE4eJjpazZV_erBIR2BWR8DwTTQAI-x6nnL3SLuube1UP813CjtIhyPxV8/s4000/20221005_182820.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3000" data-original-width="4000" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRJl-KEjPIERW0c1B8RsAabigvGg25bgiX5CRpXgNGJVzRZQrACwxJ7isrxSlB603cQVH-p9A5f9J8qYHG9-HVaXcTDpcXQ_IGfo-mjU1AbXLCs2iJmuvsowen2SE4eJjpazZV_erBIR2BWR8DwTTQAI-x6nnL3SLuube1UP813CjtIhyPxV8/s320/20221005_182820.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p></p>Sherry aka Celtic Dream Weaverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00577182764957859783noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14844163.post-79389308391838610702022-01-30T14:40:00.002-05:002022-01-30T14:40:09.787-05:00<p> Here I am delivering home made Christmas cookies and just a couple weeks ago I finished my sweater that I started last Winter. My son Ryan says it is old lady back pain. I can cross stitch so I am working on making an Christmas ornaments designed by Satsuma Street Jody Rice. I love her kits! Everything you need is included to make the ornament , beads, thread, chart, perforated paper and sequins and all the designs are cute. In another older post you can see orange cat one which I love. One is my Blue Corn Cafe’ pullover sweater designed by Alice Starmore. The pattern is from her OOP booklet called “American Portraits”. I started this sweater last Spring but when the weather got too warm I put my needles away. Now that the cooler weather is back out comes my knitting needles. I knit in the evening so I can stay awake.</p><p> During the day I will be working on my bobbin lace and make a few Christmas ornaments starting with ornaments designed by Louise West. You can order them directly from her. These ornaments have spangles so there will be some sparkle.</p><p> Eventually I will be making a few cross stitch ornaments too. My brother lives in Florida and I have found a couple Flamingo ornaments. I have seen some Christmas ornament kits by Satsuma Street that I want to make.</p><p> I am never bored!!<br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrcTZMBEIKiQDtOB-ikVjmupb_3a7cmFjhDaiAO7yH8frJ_vX0RzALSgJGMCF8nuDGgSpLglVfzErKis3oAvfetk7DblY9tZ-X8JPHeBANvJpstXM0BgOsvgDDtsdebXrELYAgww/s2048/D65B5883-469A-4AB0-859D-6BD35123763F.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrcTZMBEIKiQDtOB-ikVjmupb_3a7cmFjhDaiAO7yH8frJ_vX0RzALSgJGMCF8nuDGgSpLglVfzErKis3oAvfetk7DblY9tZ-X8JPHeBANvJpstXM0BgOsvgDDtsdebXrELYAgww/s320/D65B5883-469A-4AB0-859D-6BD35123763F.jpeg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhikAZITEODBMicBi89dwJaPR-h-voZHl_-A7iv5-JBNVPwjt-MAmoC1I8Uh9QovDpmnTu8maoi2KjgBpRlnpIvl8k68WEnINXPEseTWWC89FWXptmp1f59qMFEMgdZ7fyxKjXjpQ/s2048/5AC63E8B-4EB2-49E0-9F17-7E06211B4E9D.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhikAZITEODBMicBi89dwJaPR-h-voZHl_-A7iv5-JBNVPwjt-MAmoC1I8Uh9QovDpmnTu8maoi2KjgBpRlnpIvl8k68WEnINXPEseTWWC89FWXptmp1f59qMFEMgdZ7fyxKjXjpQ/s320/5AC63E8B-4EB2-49E0-9F17-7E06211B4E9D.jpeg" width="240" /></a></div><br />Sherry aka Celtic Dream Weaverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00577182764957859783noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14844163.post-13853489653181689492021-10-28T14:37:00.001-04:002021-10-28T14:37:41.727-04:00Happy Halloween <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqiYOWS728iBDTtS5VauMFutO4OpgzE-8YwDXo75R-gSS561xZ4HcAdpUD_KNcOYW-u4LAq-7bQp9pOc1XhyphenhypheniY8O1CyYiRcQGxKLuR9j254KWDgmCkKdLC4TerkiSjkoqa6ClznA/s2048/20211022_181151.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqiYOWS728iBDTtS5VauMFutO4OpgzE-8YwDXo75R-gSS561xZ4HcAdpUD_KNcOYW-u4LAq-7bQp9pOc1XhyphenhypheniY8O1CyYiRcQGxKLuR9j254KWDgmCkKdLC4TerkiSjkoqa6ClznA/s320/20211022_181151.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br /> <p></p>Sherry aka Celtic Dream Weaverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00577182764957859783noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14844163.post-62417981133858289092021-10-20T12:22:00.002-04:002021-10-20T17:51:27.529-04:00<p> More Halloween theme posts. I just finished cross stitching this witch. Before I started stitching her I painted some color with some gold on the material. I like how she turned. She will be made into an ornament eventually. The pattern is from “Just Cross Stitch” 2015. Pattern designed by Giulia Punti Antichi. In my pictures I am showing here are some of my decorating Halloween decor. Some are ceramics I did years ago and I lite them up for you. I have some Glitterville mugs that my friend Erin Holloway gifted me. I love them and the are the center piece around my big candy pot that is at the moment empty but it won’t be for long. Candy…candy…will be in it soon. </p><p> Shown is a picture of some Halloween ornaments Cross stitch I have been working on. The owl, I actually cross stitched years ago. I am going to finish it by going around the outside with a tatted edge with an owl charm hanging down. I just finished stitching a Prairie Schooler design from the leaflet “Trick or Treat. The tiger kitty is a design from Satsuma Street complete kit. I enjoyed making this design and I will be making more of them. I think their ornaments designs are great. My upside down bat is Batty Boris. He was fun to make also. I have other Just Nan design which are Halloween in theme including Scream House which I have had for years. I really need to do that. It is so cute.</p><p> I also think about cross stitch designer Lisa Roswell aka The Primitive Needle who had such a horrible Death. In the cross stitch picture shows the All Hallows’ Eve Sampler , Witches Nine, and another of her designs which was in an OOP cross stitch Special Halloween “Just Cross Stitch” issue. I have others patterns that I bought while Lisa was still with us on the planet I am thinking of doing the design “Moon Witch” maybe next. If you Google “The Primitive Needle” blog you can still see her other designs. It was decided after Lisa’s death for her designs not to be reprinted so they do go for quite a bit on Etsy and Ebay.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsm3MDxdbceOlEankR5UlNHrTvzx05U1OnyiqQluEHpCviS-I3_0gSPhxB2CdLgEmpMQ_bhvzDJO1oN7KnXJhXhVrc8ZN7jDLTkxCw50z4R-AU12O0Q2p9iwlMViXv6goVrx7raw/s2048/E9534B37-9189-4F6F-B73C-9F05E06C6F66.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsm3MDxdbceOlEankR5UlNHrTvzx05U1OnyiqQluEHpCviS-I3_0gSPhxB2CdLgEmpMQ_bhvzDJO1oN7KnXJhXhVrc8ZN7jDLTkxCw50z4R-AU12O0Q2p9iwlMViXv6goVrx7raw/s320/E9534B37-9189-4F6F-B73C-9F05E06C6F66.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeOMuAAjKu0qdehdsyvIjZZVIviONbk5AVWlVHBNyw4gPoYAkxT7GlD_IUqI6a52MD4fsAs2HYNtnBnmoMAOLFm7llW_3O7hX91hs5fb6NXz_Bxzn1bxEvjNwyUFl5qJkRyYoGvA/s2048/B8221939-5175-4B34-82BE-940393E9C54F.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeOMuAAjKu0qdehdsyvIjZZVIviONbk5AVWlVHBNyw4gPoYAkxT7GlD_IUqI6a52MD4fsAs2HYNtnBnmoMAOLFm7llW_3O7hX91hs5fb6NXz_Bxzn1bxEvjNwyUFl5qJkRyYoGvA/s320/B8221939-5175-4B34-82BE-940393E9C54F.jpeg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglYyPEzqpGYofjJOZCJN6ALRjrb7jRrlVdJg028xJocsIgMNI3eojxuRKbQTtUtKmVoo3CWfggUzJnwmV2R_NdLo0f9uwxis38OC-xlhSKBgfTx8zqcuIKdnH6_qo4pM8eVzMUXw/s2048/97DC9E2C-69A7-4CB8-A645-3031FD93B4FD.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglYyPEzqpGYofjJOZCJN6ALRjrb7jRrlVdJg028xJocsIgMNI3eojxuRKbQTtUtKmVoo3CWfggUzJnwmV2R_NdLo0f9uwxis38OC-xlhSKBgfTx8zqcuIKdnH6_qo4pM8eVzMUXw/s320/97DC9E2C-69A7-4CB8-A645-3031FD93B4FD.jpeg" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhII654t6MUKC58V7w5orI1u7VUlnQPBVFk9moU56dLY0Ey5Bnx6v2TYWNe1jrE-uPLVQUa3GhhQtzzzWapCu5H3mt6z3UW2SZu7hh695sPeGY_3MHsXQL-NZ8fM6w1Wz-wAdLq0g/s2048/54C083F5-CFBE-4C78-A17E-66985CA46A90.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhII654t6MUKC58V7w5orI1u7VUlnQPBVFk9moU56dLY0Ey5Bnx6v2TYWNe1jrE-uPLVQUa3GhhQtzzzWapCu5H3mt6z3UW2SZu7hh695sPeGY_3MHsXQL-NZ8fM6w1Wz-wAdLq0g/s320/54C083F5-CFBE-4C78-A17E-66985CA46A90.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_WH6KMRHY2GyhyphenhyphenoEoguZFsRcunS5-lBfvXWuHD-1sq42TRIeNHrwK5VhNVSpkyAUXWM-FmocHrDNuTvD92Qj7heT-joY5noYddLnQs6yMYwy7KxhM9CBN_za1JJ7vmSfoHBPVmA/s2048/28E9EDBB-1DA3-4684-8A30-3E72360C4DB3.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_WH6KMRHY2GyhyphenhyphenoEoguZFsRcunS5-lBfvXWuHD-1sq42TRIeNHrwK5VhNVSpkyAUXWM-FmocHrDNuTvD92Qj7heT-joY5noYddLnQs6yMYwy7KxhM9CBN_za1JJ7vmSfoHBPVmA/s320/28E9EDBB-1DA3-4684-8A30-3E72360C4DB3.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><br /><p></p>Sherry aka Celtic Dream Weaverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00577182764957859783noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14844163.post-62451843654618478822017-07-27T14:35:00.001-04:002017-08-28T09:40:51.756-04:00<span style="color: red;">I haven't posted awhile but maybe just maybe I will get back to it.
