Also I just finished knitting this shawl. Back a few years ago when I was mentally sick my daughter Michelle bought this yarn for me for my birthday. The intent was to use it to make a shawl named Mystic Light designed by Anna Dalvi. With my sickness I lost interest in just about everything including my knitting. So the project got shelved for some years. Last month I got the pattern out and the yarn and got the shawl knitted up finally. Here are some pictures of it.

Absolutely gorgeous! - and I like the way you say casually, that you "knitted it up"- it would take me weeks and weeks and weeks.I have decided that Lace Knitting is definitely not for me! My Aeolian , satrted over 2 years ago, is now a UFO, having transitioned last year from being a WIP.
That's very pretty! The pattern shows up nicely in the pic with the light streaming through it. Like wings!
Those are great pictures of you. The shawl is lovely too!
That's lovely! Wonderful to be able to finish it.
What a wonderful triumph for you! This is just gorgeous! I tried a lot of things in knitting, but lace knitting with 'finer' yarns and the overwhelming number of stitches plus the fear of losing stitches was too much for me! I love to knit Aran sweaters, however.
I remember reading your saga, and I cannot watch the commercials for that product without thinking of you. Absolutely scary!
Happy St. Patrick's day from someone who's 1/4 Irish and named after her Flanagan grandmother!
